About Parent-Child Lessons

Of all the sports, swimming can be started the earliest. At SwimKids, we start introducing little ones to the water at just 4 months old!

Starting them young has amazing health benefits including accelerating their brain development.

Our β€œdaddy and me” / β€œmommy and me” swim lessons allow you to get in the pool with your child in a group class led by an instructor who helps you introduce your child to floating, submersion, scooping, kicking, and a little one-on-one time with the instructor.

Our gentler methods preserve their love of water while preparing them for taking one-on-one lessons when they get older (around 1.5 – 2 years old).

Fun for Everyone

SwimKids is the place where fun and safety meet. We believe learning to swim should be fun for kids of all ages. The group structure of our parent-child swimming classes makes it fun for both parents and children.

Parents, like you, can meet and socialize with other like-minded parents with small children, while also spending quality time bonding with your own child. Our group class’s activities are designed to involve everyone in interactive, engaging, and exciting ways.

Although it is a group program, we still provide individual attention and tips to each parent to help their child better enjoy and progress in the class. Once your child turns 2 years old, or develops adequate coordination and breath control, he/she will be eligible for private swim lessons to receive the one-on-one tutoring needed to become swim-safe faster.

Water Safety for Infants & Toddlers

Worried about your child’s safety around water? You’re not alone, and your instincts are not wrong.

Drowning is the number one cause of injury death for children 1-4 years old, and is the second leading cause of injury death for children 5-14 years old. In addition, for every one of those, there are nearly 7 other children seen in the emergency room (ER) because of non-fatal drowning incidents.

Water safety is a high priority.

We’re here to help! SwimKids has helped over 50,000 children develop the skills to effectively self-rescue in water. We are dedicated to doing the same for your child. We believe that it is never too early to start teaching children self-sufficiency skills that will provide them with life-long benefits.

You’ve come to the right place! SwimKids has been training children to be swim-safe and swim-strong for almost 40 years now. Our great success rate and constant refining of our methods has led to regular featurings on ABC 4, Fox 13, and KSL.
