About Adult Lessons
Our adult lessons are scheduled during quieter times of the dayβearly mornings, afternoons, or eveningsβoutside our regular ‘kid’ lesson hours. This setting also makes it an ideal gift for teens or young adults who haven’t yet had the opportunity to learn.
Our lessons are designed to cover the essentials: water safety, treading water, swimming techniques, and breath control.
We offer lessons in sessions of four 30-minute sessions. All lessons are offered in our warm 90 degree pools.

Why Learn to Swim?
- Safety: Gain a critical life-saving skill that can save lives! Empower yourself to respond effectively in water-related emergencies!
- Health and Fitness: Swimming is an excellent low-impact full-body exercise that's great for heart-health, muscle-development, endurance, and weight-management!
- Stress Relief: The rhythmic nature of swimming and sensation of floating can be very calming and meditative
- More Fun Opportunities: Join in on more activities at pools, beaches, rivers, and lakes! Water sports and playing with (grand)children in the water are all enhanced by the ability to swim!
-
Social Interaction: Swimming classes can be a social activity, providing opportunities to meet new people, participate in group activities and engage in friendly competition
- Overcome Fear: Conquer a long-held fear of water, or just boost your confidence and sense of accomplishment!
- Therapeutic: Swimming is often recommended as therapy for those with injuries or conditions like arthritis; the buoyancy of water reduces stress on joints while still providing a good workout!
- Lifelong Skill: Once learned, swimming can be enjoyed at any age, making it a worthwhile investment in your quality of life!
- Benefits your Kids: Lead by example that it's never too late to learn new skills, and shows the importance of health and fitness. Be a safety model that your children will emulate by learning to swim and respecting water safety.
